Jordyn Dumont’s Cause Of Death Revealed
GASTONIA, NC– We know what caused the death of three-year-old Jordyn Dumont.
A preliminary autopsy report released today says she died from blunt force trauma. Jordyn’s body was found in the woods under a log, wrapped in a dark blanket near her Gaston county home on Tuesday.
We are also learning new information about welfare checks at her home. In a rare move, the Gaston County Department of Health and Human services released some of the information they have about Jordyn’s case.
We learned there were 16 calls made to police over the course of seven months. Three of those calls were over concerns about the kids in the home.
Gaston county investigators made five unannounced visits to the home on bess town road from March 18th to May 19th.
They did recommend Billy McCullen be assessed for drug or alcohol addiction. But they concluded there was no evidence that the children lacked appropriate supervision.
Right now, McCullen is behind bars without bond, charged with First Degree Murder in Jordyn’s death.
He’s the boyfriend of jordyn’s mother.
We reported to you yesterday the Gaston County District Attorney will not seek the death penalty again McCullen due to a statewide moratorium that has been in effect for several years.
