CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte Fire Investigators say an overnight fire in south Charlotte started in the dryer.
The fire broke out in the two story town home on Bragg Street just before midnight on Thursday. Officials say it took a crew of 30 firefighters about 15 minutes to bring the fire under control.
The family’s five cats were killed in the fire, but no other injuries were reported.
Investigators say the fire was accidental and started in the dryer. Damages are estimated to be around $100,000.
