GASTONIA, N.C. — Police arrested a man in Gaston County who was wanted for a murder in Puerto Rico.
Felix Perez-Ruiz was arrested Friday on Fallsdale Drive. He is accused of murdering someone in Puerto Rico in 2013.
Investigators say Perez-Ruiz fled to the continental United States shortly after the reported homicide to avoid capture. Officials determined Perez-Ruiz was living in an apartment in Gastonia.
Perez-Ruiz will be held in the Gaston County Jail pending extradition to Puerto Rico.
