CHARLOTTE, NC– A home invasion left one intruder shot early Monday morning.
Reports say around 4 a.m. Monday the homeowner told deputies that he woke to intruders breaking into his home.
The homeowner said he yelled at the intruders and they fled through a window of the home.
There were two reported individuals who broke into the home, the homeowner says the suspects came back later to retrieve a backpack they had dropped and that’s when he saw Marquies Rason Waters, 17, on his back porch.
The homeowner says he started firing shots at Waters, fatally wounding him.
Waters was pronounced deceased at the scene and the homeowner new he lived in the neighborhood.
