Investigators say back on February 27, 2016 Angela Blackwell put her 4-day-old infant in a refrigerator at her Rose Street home and shut the door. After about three hours Blackwell removed the infant and sought medical help.

According to a report, the baby was unresponsive when taken to Chester Regional Medical Center by EMS, and CPR attempts were unsuccessful. The baby was then pronounced dead.

Blackwell was initially charged with manslaughter, but on Tuesday her charges were upgraded to Homicide by Child Abuse. She is scheduled to appear in court this afternoon.
