Supreme Court Will Not Reinstate NC Voter ID Law

CHARLOTTE, NC– A divided supreme court refuses to reinstate North Carolina’s controversial voter ID law.

The denied request by Governor Pat McCrory means that voters won’t have to show a photo ID when casting ballots in November.

Early voting in North Carolina also goes back to 17 days.  Election officials have already been planning to comply with the court’s decision.
