Gov. McCrory Issues State Of Emergency For 33 Counties

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) – Gov. Pat McCrory has declared a state of emergency for 33 counties in eastern North Carolina in advance of Hurricane Hermine.

McCrory met with state emergency management leaders in Raleigh on Thursday to discuss storm preparations. The governor is urging residents to prepare for heavy rains, gusty winds and the possibility of flooding as the storm passes through the state Friday night and early Saturday.
