Elderly Pedestrian Killed In Gastonia
GASTONIA, N.C. – A 65-year-old pedestrian was hit and killed by a truck in Gastonia on Sunday morning, according to the Gastonia Police Department.
Police said the male victim was struck by a man in his mid-40s driving a Ford F-250.
Authorities say the incident happened around 11:45 a.m. on South New Hope Road. The road was shut down for approximately two and a half hours but has since opened back up.
The victim has not been identified.
