Shelby Police Officer Shot In Line Of Duty Dies
SHELBY, N.C. — The Shelby police officer who was shot over the weekend has died, according to the chief of police.
Officer Tim Brackeen was shot Saturday while looking for a suspect on outstanding warrants. Β Brackeen died at 11:42 am at Carolinas Medical Center. Β He was a 12-year veteran of the department.
Police are still searching for the accused shooter, 23-year-old Irving Fenner Jr. Β Governor McCrory released a statement saying a reward of up to $10,000 will be given to the person that provides information on the whereabouts of Fenner that leads to an arrest and conviction.
