Police have arrested wanted suspect John Meech for his involvement in an armed robbery on Wednesday. Meech is currently being held at the Cabarrus County jail on a $250,000 secured bond.

CONCORD, N.C. – The Concord Police Department identified a suspect in connection with an armed robbery and is seeking the public’s assistance identifying a second suspect involved.
A warrant has been issued for 32-year-old John Meece, after police responded to a wooded area near the railroad tracks on US-29A following reports of a robbery victim with gunshots wounds.
The victim sustained two non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and was transported to Atrium Health Cabarrus to receive treatment.
Meece is described as a 6-foot tall, 200 pound white man with multiple tattoos. Reports say he was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and blue pants at the time of the incident.
The second suspect is described as a white man, clean shaven, wearing a white toboggan, grey hoodie, and khaki pants.
Both suspects should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Meece or with information on the location and identity of the second suspect, is encouraged to call the Concord Police Department at 704-920-5000.
Based on the preliminary investigation, Concord Police believe the victim and suspects are acquaintances and this was not a random act.
