LANCASTER, S.C. – One person died in a fatal car crash on US 521 in Lancaster County on Wednesday morning, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred around 10:26 a.m. on US 521 near Flat Creek Road, approximately two miles west of Lancaster.
Police say a 2023 Toyota Tacoma was traveling north on US 521. The driver allegedly traveled off the left side of the road, hit a ditch, traveled left of center and struck a 1996 Honda Accord.
The Honda driver died as a result of the crash. The Toyota driver was not injured. Both drivers were the sole occupant of their respective vehicles.
