South Carolina Woman Faces Nearly 30 Years In Prison For Sexually Assaulting Infant

COLUMBIA, S.C. – A South Carolina woman faces 28 years in prison after pleading guilty to two first-degree counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, according to the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office.

Taylor Schiel recorded a video on a cell phone of her sexually assaulting a baby boy in Blythewood, South Carolina.

Law enforcement explored through Schiel’s social media accounts and found multiple videos showing her sexual assault an infant boy. Authorities say many of the videos were spliced together with Schiel engaging in sexual activity with an adult man.

Police conducted a search warrant on Schiel’s home in Blythewood on August 25th, 2021. She later admitted to investigators that she sexually assaulted the baby, recorded it and sent the videos to someone in Texas.

Schiel will serve her 28-year sentence at the South Carolina Department of Corrections. She will be required to register as a Tier 2 sex offender upon release.
