Woman Facing Drug Charges Following Traffic Stop
LINCOLNTON, N.C. – A routine traffic stop led to an arrest of a Lincolnton woman, who is now facing multiple drug charges.
On Friday, January 19th, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Cynthia Hornbeck on South Aspen Street in Lincolnton. A K-9 unit was requested to the location where K-9 Oden alerted officers to illegal narcotics in the vehicle.
Officers conducted a search and found 13-and-a-half ounces of methamphetamine, 13 grams of marijuana and a firearm in the vehicle.
Hornbeck, 50, facing the following charges:
- Felony Trafficking Methamphetamine By Possession And Transport
- Felony Maintaining A Dwelling, Vehicle For A Controlled Substance
- Carrying A Concealed Weapon
- Possession Of Controlled Substance, Schedule II (Oxycodone)
- Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia
Hornbeck has been released from the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center on a $50,000 secured bond.
