Hornets Forward Brandon Miller Named Easter Conference Rookie Of The Month

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte Hornets forward Brandon Miller has been named the NBA’s Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month for January.

Miller became the first Hornets rookie to achieve this award since LaMelo Ball in March of 2021.

Miller appeared in 13 games in January and averaged 16 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. He notched a career-high-tying 29 points on 11-for-19 shooting against the New York Knicks on January 29th.

The 21-year-old forward has been one of the few bright spots on a relatively disappointing season for the Hornets. He’s averaging 15.3 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game in 40 appearances on the year.

Miller’s 2.1 three-pointers per game is also on pace to break a Hornets rookie record set by Ball (1.8).
