Football Player Charged In Crash That Killed North Meck High School Cheerleader

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Police have charged a teenager in a deadly accident that happened in Huntersville.

Kalvin McCollum has been charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle, careless and reckless driving and driving with no operator’s license.

Kalvin McCollumPolice say McCollum was driving a vehicle that was involved in a crash on August 11th that killed 14-year-old Enjoneah Reel.

Reel was a cheerleader and McCollum was on the football team at North Meck High School.
