UPDATE at 9:25p: An Amber Alert has been canceled for 8-day-old Jaxton Brown. Chapel Hill Police say the baby was found safe in Durham.
RALEIGH, N.C. – The Chapel Hill Police Department has issued an Amber Alert for a missing infant. Jaxton Brown is 8 days old. He is white, about 19″ long, and weighs seven pounds. He has blonde hair and blue eyes.
Police say the baby is believed to be with 26-year-old Destinee Ariel Cothran and 29-year-old Justin Lee Brown. She is a white female, 5’3″ tall, weighing 120 pounds. She has brown hair and hazel eyes. He is a white male, 5’8″ tall, weighing 160 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
Police say the duo, and the baby, were last seen on 5623 Durham-Chapel Hill Blvd. in Durham. They were driving a white 1997 Mercury Mystique with two possible tags: 031724 or 29279542. Both tags are temporary paper tags.
