CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD is now investigating a homicide after the victim of an assault Tuesday night dies.
Police say they were called to Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in southeast Charlotte shortly after 8pm Tuesday by medical staff. Staff members told police that William Phillips, 45, was brought to the Emergency Room by a family member and was suffering from trauma.
On September 28th Phillips was pronounced dead.
Investigators are now working to determine where the incident took place and if there were any witnesses.
