GASTONIA, N.C. – One man is dead after a shooting that occurred on March 2, 2024, according to a news release.
The release states that Gaston County police responded to a call on Lane Road in Mount Holly regarding a cardiac arrest at 7:35 pm on March 2. Responded personnel found a a man in the yard of the residence who was shot and police say they attempted to implement life saving measures, but the victim succumbed to his injuries.
The victim has been identified as Juan Correa, 38, and detectives say he was shot during an altercation and that the other individual has been identified.
