CHARLOTTE, N.C. – CMPD’s Homicide Unit have identified a suspect in connection to a case that began on March 21, 2023, according to a news release.
On March 5, 2024, CMPD stated that members of the Violent Crime Apprehension Team located and arrested Nickaleus Felder, 23, and was then transported for an interview with homicide detectives. The release states that Felder was then transferred to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office and was charged with murder and robbery.
The murder occurred on the 4900 block of Malibu Drive, near Eastway Drive, on March 21, as said by police officers where the victim was pronounced dead on the scene after suffering traumatic injuries.
This investigation is active and ongoing.
