CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD is investigating a homicide in the University Area after a woman was shot to death Tuesday afternoon.
The shooting happened just after 5pm at the intersection of E. WT Harris Boulevard and N. Tryon Street. Police say someone shot into a vehicle in the intersection, hitting the female driver. The woman was pronounced dead on the scene by Medic.
The victim’s name has not yet been released.
