HICKORY, N.C. – A fatal vehicle crash that involved three vehicles is being investigated by Hickory Police, according to a news release.
The release states that on March 11 at 4:23 p.m., a 2007 Nissan Titan, driven by 46-year-old Sebastian Remigio, went into oncoming traffic which caused a 2013 Ford SUV, driven by 29-year-old Hailey Brown, to swerve off the road and hit a nearby fence. Remigio continued to drive in the oncoming traffic lane and hit a 2021 Toyota Rav-4, driven by 67-year-old Theda Lindsay, and resulted in the death of Remigio, as said by Hickory Police.
Police say Lindsay was transported to Catawba Valley Medical Center and then later to a Winston-Salem hospital due to serious injuries.
Suspected factors in the crash of the Nissan Titan are suspected to be alcohol and speed, according to the release.
