TROUTMAN, N.C. – The wife of the double homicide suspect that was killed by police on Sunday morning was arrested for being an accessory after the incident, according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities arrested 40-year-old Ashlee Louise Klepfer as a result of an ongoing investigation into the double homicide that happened on Home Drive in Mooresville on Saturday, March 9th.
Investigators obtained additional evidence and said that Klepfer allegedly aided her husband, Justin Strawser, after the homicides were committed.
Officials also claimed that Klepfer allegedly let the four juveniles into her home on Ostwalt Amity Road and gave them access to firearms during the standoff with police.
Officers arrested Klepfer during a traffic stop in Statesville. Police also arrested a 15-year-old juvenile that allegedly possessed a loaded handgun and methamphetamine in the car.
Klepfer was charged with the following:
- Felony Accessory After the Fact
- Felony Possession of Methamphetamine
- Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Methamphetamine
- Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Misdemeanor Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor
- Misdemeanor Fail to Secure Firearm from a Minor, four counts
Authorities transferred Klepfer to the Iredell County Detention Center where she is being held without bond due to her already being out on bond for a previous charge of school attendance law violation.
This incident is still under investigation and additional charges could be issued, officials said.
