Man wanted for March murder in north Charlotte arrested

CHARLOTTE, NC – A man wanted for a murder in north Charlotte back in March has been arrested.

CMPD says 22-year-old Reginald Harrison turned himself into the Gaston County Jail on Wednesday, December 18, 2024.

Harrison is charged with the murder of 20-year-old  Nasir Boyd.  He’s also charged with discharge of a firearm into a motor vehicle and possession of a firearm by felon.

CHARLOTTE, NC – CMPD detectives say they have identified 21-year-old Reginald Harrison as a suspect in the death of 20-year-old Nasir Boyd, who died from a gunshot wound on March 14.  Anyone with information on Harrison’s whereabouts is asked to call CMPD’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team at 704-336-8228. Harrison should be considered armed and dangerous.

CHARLOTTE, NC – Police are conducting a homicide investigation after one person was shot and killed in north Charlotte.

It happened at an apartment complex on Tanager Park Drive near Sunset Road around 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 14th.

When police arrived, they say a male victim sustained a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital just after 3 p.m.

This shooting is still under investigation.
