Freeze Warning In Effect Monday Night
Colder, drier air will blanket the area behind a cold front to start this work week as Canadian high pressure slides into place. Temperatures will slide near, if not below 32 degrees tonight as clouds clear out. A freeze warning will go into effect after midnight tonight for all counties where growing season has already begun.
This includes Cleveland, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Stanly, Union and Gaston counties, NC and Lancaster, Chester, Chesterfield and York counties, SC.
Make sure you bring in potted plants or cover any sensitive plants if you did any planting while the weather was warmer last week.
The average last freeze for Charlotte, based on our 30 year average is March 28.
