CHARLOTTE, N.C. – CMPD detectives say they are investigating a pedestrian death that was struck by an Amtrak Train on Old Concord Road.
On Sunday, March 17, 2024, officers responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a train and they located an unresponsive man, Mohamed Amed, 30, near the railroad tracks and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release.
No other details are known at this time. This investigation is ongoing.
