Armed Robbery Suspects Steal Vehicle, Injure Two People In Wreck

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —  Two people were injured in a multi-car accident involving a stolen vehicle, driven by armed robbery suspects.

The series of events began around 8 a.m., near the 1300 block of Hunter Oaks Lane, when CMPD Officers responded to a female victim who said several suspects robbed her before fleeing on foot.

At apporxmatiely 9 a.m., CMPD Officers responded to a stolen vehicle call on Dove Tree Lane, where another female victim stated she was warming up her car in the driveway when it was stolen.

Officers were able to confirm the same suspects were involved in both cases.

Shortly thereafter, officers located the stolen vehicle, but the suspects refused to stop the vehicle and the pursuit ended on Milton road near the Plaza.

Officers then observed a three car accident in the 6000 block of The Plaza as they approached the intersection.  The suspect vehicle was identified in the wreck and the officers were advised that the suspects fled on foot.

Following a short foot pursuit, officers apprehended two of the suspects.  One suspect is still outstanding.

Two victims involved in the wreck were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.  One was taken to CMC Main and the other was taken to CMC University.

No names have been released at this time.
