LANCASTER, S.C. – A second suspect has been arrested in connection to the death of 18-year-old Stephen Carter in Lancaster County last Friday.
Authorities arrested Kenneth Jamarri Mitchell, 25, of Barnwell County, on Monday night. He has been charged with murder and armed robbery.

Witnesses identified a gray sedan that was involved in the shooting. Police said Mitchell was the owner and driver of the vehicle when he and Patterson went to Carter’s house.
While a relative brought Mitchell to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office to be interviewed, agents located the suspect’s car at his father’s house and confiscated it for evidence.
Police also arrested 17-year-old Ny’Jeri Izay Patterson on Sunday night.
Officials are still investigating the shooting and say that additional arrested and charges are possible.
