LINCOLNTON, NC — Police say former Gaston County high school teacher and coach Jason Webb has been arrested again following recent online threats made toward a Lincolnton detective.
Officials say Webb was arrested Wednesday morning for felony probation violation and a misdemeanor probation violation after Webb communicated threats to Detective Brent Heavner on Monday.
This is the second time Webb has been charged with threatening Det. Heavner. Webb plead guilty in May to threats he made to Heavner back in March.
Webb was originally charged with felony solicitation of a child by computer for an unlawful sex act, felony solicitation of a child by a computer for an unlawful sex act and
appearing to meet child, and felony deliver marijuana from an investigation that took place in the Spring of 2015.
In that case, officials say Det. Heavner posed as a child on multiple social media accounts as part of an undercover operation. Webb contacted Heavner’s profile and made arrangements to meet the “child” for sex and give them marijuana. Webb was arrested when he showed up.
Webb plead guilty to that case in October 2015.
