Statesville Police Say They Arrest Six In Street Sweep For Drug-Related Crimes
STATESVILLE, N.C. – The Statesville Police Department executed a drug operation that targeted individuals dealing drugs in the City of Statesville and resulted in arresting and charging six individuals, according to a news release. This operation was in collaboration with the US Marshals Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.
Billy McLendon was arrested on March 30, 2024 and charged with sell/deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, sell/deliver methamphetamine and possession with intent to sell or deliver methamphetamine. McLendon received a $10,000 secured bond.
Quinton Lipscomb was arrested on April 2, 2024 and was charged with sell/deliver cocaine and possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine. Lipscomb received a $4,500 secured bond.
Beatriz Brenes was arrested on March 26, 2024 and was charged with sell/deliver schedule II controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver schedule II controlled substance, sell/deliver schedule IV controlled substance and possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver schedule IV controlled substance. Brenes received a $10,000 secured bond.
David Merritt was arrested on March 26, 2024 and was charged with trafficking in meth by sell.deliver, trafficking in meth by possession and possession with intent to sell or deliver methamphetamine. Merritt received a $215,000 secured bond.
Travis Knox was arrested on March 26, 2024 and was charged with misdemeanor probation violation and federal probation violation. Knox received a $10,000 secured bond.
Malcolm Ensley was arrested on March 27, 2024 and was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon. Ensley received a $50,000 secured bond.
The Narcotics Division with the Statesville Police Department is also pursuing the following individuals with active warrants:
Alicia Wellington is wanted for two counts of sell/deliver cocaine and two counts of possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine.
Tami Ruiz is wanted for obtain property by false pretense.
Rasheed Degree is wanted for robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Chad Langley is wanted for sell/deliver marijuana.
