EF-1 tornado confirmed in Rowan County
ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — The National Weather Service damage survey team has confirmed an EF-1 tornado in Mount Ulla. The survey reports the tornado traveled 1.30 miles and was 40 yards wide. Touching down at 7:52 pm before quickly lifting at 7:54 pm.
Our Damage Survey Team has confirmed that an EF-1 of 100 mph winds hit Mount Ulla, NC yesterday evening at approximately 7:52 PM. Numerous trees were snapped and uprooted, with some infrastructure damage to a house and elementary school. No injuries were reported. #ncwx pic.twitter.com/FnIi0W4vGU

Thankfully there were no injuries or fatalities.
The tornado did move over Mount Ulla Elementary School causing damage to the school:
