CHARLOTTE, N.C. – CMPD is investigating a homicide that occurred on Independence Boulevard inbound prior to the Briar Creek exit.
Officials say 43-year-old Everette Thomas Lynn was found shot inside a vehicle approximately around 3:47 a.m. Saturday morning.
Lynn was pronounced dead on the scene by Medic.
Officers responded to an accident call for service in the 2600 block of Independence Boulevard. Officials say they located that the vehicle struck the median.
Detectives with the Homicide Unit are canvassing the area to determine whether there are any witnesses to this incident.
