One Person, Pet Displaced In Accidental Kitchen Fire

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – One person and a pet were displaced from their southwest Charlotte home Sunday morning due to an accidental kitchen fire.

It happened at a home on Echodale Drive near Nations Ford Road at around 5 a.m.

Crews controlled the fire in approximately 10 minutes. No injuries were reported, but officials said one person and a pet were displaced due to the fire.

Charlotte Fire said the fire accidentally started in the kitchen. It caused roughly $42,000 in damages.
