Clean Up Begins After Major Storm Damage In Rock Hill
ROCK HILL, S.C. — Antonio Douglas was home with family when the severe hail storm hit Rock Hill. Douglas says, “golf ball sized hail just coming down, and the wind and the wind just got stronger and stronger.”
Thankfully, no trees came down on his house, but he is dealing with holes from hail, and a snapped power pole stretching wires across the backyard. Davis says, “we’re scared to cut on the lights and cut it on and luckily, the house still got power, but at the same time, it’s also dangerous.”
After several calls to the City, there’s still no telling when help will arrive.
York County Emergency Management asks for patience as restoring will take time. A lot of people from the community are joining the cleanup effort with area companies sending line-men and tree choppers.
