Three Dead, One Injured In Single-Vehicle Wreck

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Three people died and one other was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 85 on Friday afternoon, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

It happened around 12:05 p.m. on I-85 north near Lakeside Road, approximately two miles south of Greenville, South Carolina.

Officials said a 2020 Volvo SUV traveled off the right side of the highway, then up an embankment, struck a bridge and a tree and then overturned.

Three passengers were in the vehicle, all of them died at the scene.

The driver was injured and transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital. The severity of their injuries is unclear at this time.
