CHARLOTTE, N.C. — After the tragic shooting on Monday, April 29th, Charlotte-area leaders have made one request of the community – come together to show support for law enforcement officers and their families.
One small action residents can take is to shine a blue light on their front porch, a visible sign of support for those who have lost their lives in the line of duty while serving and protecting the Charlotte community.
Residents in the greater Charlotte region can pick up a free blue outdoor LED light bulb at Lowe’s area stores beginning Saturday, May 4th, until supplies last. Light bulbs can be picked up in the checkout area. No purchase is necessary.
