CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A homicide investigation is underway after CMPD officers discovered a deceased victim with a gunshot wound on Albemarle Road, according to a news release.
CMPD released video footage of the suspect in question running in a parking lot:
On May 5th after 6:00 pm, officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call on the 9600 block of Albemarle road and found a deceased victim with a gunshot wound.
The victim was identified as 51-year-old Shawn Dwayne Powell.
