Homicide Victim Found Inside Burning Mobile Home

SHELBY, NC– Investigators say a fire that burned through a mobile home in Shelby may have been set to cover up a murder.

Police haven’t identified the body found inside the mobile home on Christopher Road this morning, but family members tell WCCB Charlotte it is Danny Goins.

Investigators say the body has at least one gun shot wound.

Tonight police want to talk to Goins’ son, but are not calling him a suspect.
