Pet Killed In Southwest Charlotte House Fire

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A pet died from an accidental house fire in southwest Charlotte early Saturday morning, according to the Charlotte Fire Department.

It happened around 2:40 a.m. at a home on Duckett Court near South Tryon Street in the Yorkshire area.

Charlotte Fire controlled the blaze in approximately 20 minutes. 

A pet died from the fire. No other injuries were reported.

Officials said the fire started by accident. It caused an estimated $30,000 in damages.
