Food Lion Taste Of Charlotte Celebrates 25 Years June 7th-9th

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – North Carolina’s largest food festival is set to return to Tryon St. in the next coming weeks in uptown Charlotte, welcoming Food Lion as its title sponsor for the fifth year.

The event offers a mix of family entertainment, unique shopping, live music, kid’s activities, a wide array of beer and wine along with more than 100 menu items for sampling from a collection of Charlotte’s hottest restaurants.

There is no cost for admission to the Food Lion Taste ofCharlotte Festival.

Food samples and beverages can be purchased with festival coins, available on the Taste of Charlotte App and at Coin Booths along Tryon Street.

Planned Attractions Include:

  • Food Lion Front Porch with fresh lemonade samples and kids activities.
  • Luzianne Tea Main Stage: Spilling the Tea on local entertainment – featuring bands playing your favorite 80’s, 90’s pop, rock and country music. Also enjoy community dance and cheer groups performing all weekend long.
  • Wine Cellar: Offers a variety of wines in a festive outdoor environment. Live music on the stage sets the backdrop for fun casual conversation.
  • Catawba Two Kings Casino Tavern at the Taste: A unique tavern offering a selection of local craft beer from Monday Night Brewing, as well as dueling pianos throughout the weekend. .
  • Truist Neighborhood: Truist invites you to visit their booth along with local restaurants, sponsors, the Truist Maker’s Marketplace, Wine Cellar, and more.
  • Truist Maker’s MarketPlace: An eclectic open-air shopping experience featuring local artists, handcrafted original designs from home accents and local jams to candles and custom jewelry.
  • Duke’s Mayo Demo Kitchen: Enjoy demos throughout the weekend in the Taste Kitchen! Chefs will be rotating all weekend, including local wellness chef, and best-selling cookbook author, Jennie Casselman. Stop in for quick and easy recipes to make at home with Duke’s Mayo.
