UNION COUNTY, N.C. – The Porter Ridge school cluster is currently on lockdown after receiving a threatening phone call Tuesday.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the source of the call, and all students and staff are safe inside the building.
Additional law enforcement officers are present on several campuses to investigate the incident.
As a reminder to parents, Union County Public Schools (UCPS) does not dismiss students during a school lockdown.
