CHARLOTTE, NC – We’re learning more about three people killed in a single car accident on Steele Creek Road early Saturday morning.
Family members left flowers and a balloon for Tyrell Paige.
“He’s really gonna be missed by a lot of people,” Paige’s sister told WCCB Charlotte at the accident scene.
She says Paige was one of three victims.
“My sister Tiffany is his twin. So she’s taking it really hard and his girlfriend, taking it extremely hard,” she explains.
Investigators say the Crown Victoria ran off the road around 2:00 a.m., went airborne and hit several trees.
One of the passengers was thrown from the car. No one was wearing a seatbelt.
“I’m just going by what the police officer said.. speed was a factor,” Paige’s sister says.
You can see debris all over the scene, broken glass, a floor mat, and a rear view mirror in the grass.
WCCB Charlotte hasn’t been able to confirm the other two victims names but Paige’s sister says all three worked at Outback Steakhouse in Pineville.
People living near the crash scene say it’s hard to look at all the debris here.
“I think it’s tragic and it’s really sad. I heard everything last night, all the sirens and stuff like that. But I didn’t even know it was this close or even that bad,” says Steel Creek resident Amir Johnson.
For now Paige’s sister still in shock. She says she’s just one of nine siblings.
“I’m the oldest out of them all but he always said that he was my little big brother,” she explains.
