Man Killed in NW Charlotte After Drug Deal Gone Bad

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating the first Charlotte murder of 2014.

The victim, 46-year-old Keith Graham, was found dead Monday in a home on Dundeen Street off Beatties Ford Road in Northwest Charlotte.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police responded to an assault just after 6 p.m. When officers arrived at the home, they found Graham suffering from a gunshot wound. MEDIC transported him to Carolinas Medical Center where he later died.

Detectives say they believe that the victim and suspect knew each other and the shooting happened during a drug deal. Police say this is the first homicide of 2014.
