Two Charged In Drive-By Shooting In Taylorsville

TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. – A man and a woman were arrested in connection to a drive-by shooting in Taylorsville on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office.

At 2:40 p.m., deputies responded to reports of a drive-by shooting on Mallory Drive in Taylorsville. 

Nobody was injured in the shooting, but deputies said the home was hit four times by gunfire.

Witnesses gave police a description and tag number for the vehicle.

Authorities used the information and were able to locate it and the possible suspects at a home on Owen Braswell Road in Taylorsville.

There, two suspects – Devante Lee McCullough, 22, and Amber Breann Thornton, 29 – were arrested without incident.

Both were charged with one count of shooting into an occupied dwelling.

They are being held without bond with a scheduled court date for Monday, May 20th.
