LINCOLN COUNTY, S.C. – The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office have charged 30-year-old Maxwell Fletcher with statutory sex offense of a child under 15, according to a news release.

The release states that Fletcher was apprehended on May 20, 2024 after being under investigation by multiple counties for sex offenses. The Sheriff’s Office said that Fletcher was arrested and charged with statutory sex offense of a child under 15 and held positions as a teacher and coach at W.C. Friday Middle School in Dallas, North Carolina at the time of his arrest.
It was noted that Fletcher had previously served as a coach in the Lincoln County Schools system before the Gaston County School system.
Fletcher was served with warrants from Catawba County for second degree kidnapping, indecent liberties and other charges, as said in the release.
