CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Detectives arrested 28-year-old Olivia Dennis after an investigation into an inappropriate relationship with a student, according to a news release.

The release states that an Olympic High School Resource Officer was notified of a potential inappropriate relationship between an 18-year-old male student and a teacher at the school on May 20, 2024. After an investigation and an interview with the suspect, detectives with CMPD’s Sexual Assault Unit say they placed her under arrest and charged her with three counts of sexual activity with a student by a teacher.
The release noted that the detective do not believe any of the alleged acts occurred on school property.
