Twin Brothers Arrested For Drug Charges In Iredell County

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Twin brothers were arrested Tuesday after troopers found nearly 700 grams of drugs during a search of their vehicle, according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were made aware of 21-year-olds Carlos and Christopher Clark traveling in Iredell County. Carlos already had a felony warrant for his arrest after eluding officers in Union and Mecklenburg County, the sheriff’s office said.

Two deputies identified their vehicle and initiated a traffic stop on River Highway in Mooresville. Canine Connie was deployed, and a search of the vehicle found 371 grams of marijuana and 323 grams of psychedelic mushrooms, officials said. Deputies also said they found U.S. Currency that was consistent with the sale of narcotics. 

Carlos and Christopher were arrested and taken to the Iredell County Detention Center.

Carlos faces the following charges: 

  • Three Counts of Felony Fleeing to Elude Arrest
  • Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver Schedule I Controlled Substance
  • Felony Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance
  • Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, Deliver Schedule VI Controlled Substance
  • Felony Possession of Schedule VI Controlled Substance
  • Reckless Driving to Endanger
  • Driving, Allow Registration Plate not displayed
  • Speeding in a Work Zone

Christopher was charged with the following:

  • Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver Schedule I Controlled Substance
  • Felony Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance
  • Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, Deliver Schedule VI Controlled Substance
  • Felony Possession of Schedule VI Controlled Substance
  • Felony Maintaining a Vehicle or Dwelling for a Controlled Substance

Both received no bond due to being out on previous release orders, the sheriff’s office said.
