One Dead, One Injured In Chester County Motorcycle Crash

LOWRYS, S.C. – One person is dead and another is in the hospital following a fatal collision between two motorcycles in Chester County on Friday, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred around 3:05 p.m. on US 321 near Armenia Road in Lowrys, South Carolina.

Officials said a 1998 Harley Davidson and a 2015 Yamaha motorcycle were traveling south on US 321. 

The Yahama attempted to pass the Harley Davidson when it sideswiped the other motorcyclist, causing both to overturn.

The Yamaha driver died as a result of the crash. The Harley Davidson motorcyclist was injured and airlifted by helicopter to CMC Main.

Both were the sole occupants on their respective motorcycles.
