Charlotte’s First All-Electric Firehouse

CHARLOTTE, N.C. –  Charlotte’s Firehouse 30 will be the first all-electric firehouse in the southeast. A celebration for the groundbreaking changes will be held June 3rd on Beam Road.

Firehouse 30 will be the first all-electric firehouse in the southeast, equipped with the first all-electric North American-style fire truck. This new facility will replace the existing firehouse located at 4707 Belle-Oaks Drive, which was built in 1955 and has served as a Charlotte Firehouse since1991. Firehouse 30 was one of three firehouses identified in the Construct Fire Facilities Program within the Fiscal Year 2022 budget

Speakers will include District Council Memeber Tiawana Brown, Charlotte Fire Department Chief Reginald Johnson, and Sustainable Infrastructure Strategy Manager Heather Bolick.
