UNION COUNTY, N.C. – An 18-year-old and 17-year-old were charged with offenses relating to breaking in to Piedmont High and Middle Schools, according to a news release.
The release states that Union County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officers investigated break-ins to the local schools and found evidence that two suspects forced their way into the buildings and stole multiple items.
The two suspects were identified as former Piedmont High School students, one of which is 18-year-old Brendan Connor, who was found and arrested, as said in the release. The Sheriff’s Office say he other suspect is 17-years-old and a juvenile secured custody order was sought after, but denied and will face charges via juvenile petitions.
Charges for both of the offenders include and are not limited to:
- Felony breaking and entering
- Felony larceny
- First-degree trespass
- Injury to personal property
