Motorcyclist Killed In South Carolina Crash

PICKENS, S.C. – A motorcyclist died Sunday morning after attempting to pass another vehicle in Pickens County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

It happened around 11:20 a.m. on SC Highway 11, eight miles north of Pickens, South Carolina.

A Ford SUV and a KTM Motorcycle were traveling north on SC 11. While the Ford vehicle was slowing down to make a left turn onto a private drive, the motorcyclist was attempting to pass and collided with the SUV, the highway patrol said.

The motorcyclist died as a result of the crash. The Ford driver was the sole occupant and was not injured.

No further details were released. This crash remains under investigation.
